The $20.00 Bill

A well-known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20 bill.

In the room of 200, he asked, who would like this $20 bill?

Hands started going up.

He said, I am going to give this to one of you, but first, let me do this.

He proceeded to crumple the bill up.

He then asked, who still wants it?

Still the hands were up in the air.

Well, he replied what if I do this?

He dropped it on the ground, and started to grind it into the floor
with his shoe.

He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty.

Now, who still wants it?

Still hands went into the air.

My friends, you all have learned a very valuable lesson.

No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it, because,
it did not decrease in value.

It was still worth 20 dollars.

Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled and ground into the
dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way.

We feel that we are worthless, but, no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value, dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to those who love you.

The worth of our lives comes not in what we do, or whom we know,
but by who we are.

You are special, don't ever forget it!

Pass this on to those you care about, even the one who sent it to you.

You will never know the lives it touches the hurting hearts it speaks to, or the hope that it can bring.

Always count your blessings, not your problems.

Winter isn't even here yet and we have schools closing due to outbreaks. This is another example of why thorough and proper cleaning is necessary in our schools. More than 100 people at O’Hara Catholic School in Eugene, Oregon have been infected with what is believed to be a norovirus, Lane County officials said Friday.

After 16 staff members from the school called in sick Thursday morning, administrators canceled class and closed the school for the remainder of the week.

Crews spent Friday sterilizing Laurens County school after more than 100 students went home sick, possibly with the norovirus. 41NBC found out how the district is handling the outbreak to make sure students and staff are safe when they come back to school on Monday.

Laurens County schools closed Friday for all students and staff after a possible norovirus outbreak. Superintendent Rob Johnson says 60 students ranging from ages four to seven were throwing up Thursday morning.

"By 1, 1:30 p.m. we had about 140 kids that were ill, so we knew we had a problem and we knew we had to do something,” Johnson said.

Johnson first thought this was an isolated incident, but soon got notice the potential virus was spreading.

As a responsible business, CJ Maintenance utilizes the practice of least harmful cleaning methods throughout the various building and location that we service. In doing this we can help create a better indoor and outdoor environment.

A lot of attention is typically given to the outdoor environment, however, most people spend the majority of their time indoors. By utilizing least harmful cleaning methods, we help protect our employees, and the building occupants from the hazards of harmful chemicals. When and where possible, we choose products that are biodegradable and that will not contaminate our water supply and the environment. We also promote recycling. We have helped many clients setup and implement programs to recycle a large amount of waste that they generate daily.

As a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, and providing facility services to many public and private school, we support the efforts to green all of America’s K-12 schools within a generation.  Green schools save money, conserve energy and water, and foster better-performing, healthier students.

Everyone can do their part by exercising better habits when it comes to "green" cleaning by selecting more sustainable products, utilizing safer methods of cleaning, and reusing and recycling when possible.

Dirty mops have been blamed for the spread of a sickness bug which sent north Cumbria’s hospitals into meltdown.

The recent norovirus outbreak was so severe that it has been classed as a “serious untoward incident”, but the man in charge of tackling it admits it was a homegrown problem.

The trust which runs the hospitals has confirmed it has had 242 laboratory-confirmed cases of the winter vomiting bug since January 5, 220 of which were dealt with at either the West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven or Carlisle’s Cumberland Infirmary.

More than 200 people became ill on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship, causing the ship to dock early at the Port of Baltimore, MD, on Monday.

Nine crew members and 193 guests aboard the MS Grandeur of the Seas experienced gastrointestinal symptoms, which accounted for about 11 percent of the ship’s population, CNN reported. Once the ship docked and passengers exited the ship, the cruise line began to sanitize the ship and terminal.

Norovirus is not a stranger to the Grandeur of the Seas. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention tracked two other norovirus outbreaks on the ship last year.
